Scholarship Information
The Oyster Bay Counseling Center would like to share some helpful Scholarship Websites. Each month, we will release a monthly Scholarship Bulletin which will include any specific scholarships we hear about.
New York State Scholarships
Please see below for online resources related to New York State scholarships.
- HESC - Information on scholarships and grants for NYS students, descriptions on each NYS scholarship including criteria
- SUNY - Access all of the State University of New York (SUNY) college and university scholarship web pages
- Scholarships for Academic Excellence - Pending the appropriation of State funds each year, New York State awards Scholarships for Academic Excellence. OBHS determines its nominees using the guidelines provided by the New York State Education Department's Scholarships and Grants Administration Unit (Method A: Regents test scores)
- Excelsior Scholarships - This program covers tuition for eligible SUNY and CUNY students.
- Enhanced Tuition Awards - This program enables students attending private not-for-profit colleges to receive financial assistance to complete their college degree.
Scholarship Bulletins
There are numerous scholarship opportunities available to support students in pursuing their post-secondary goals. Each month, the Counseling Center publishes a scholarship bulletin highlighting all available opportunities for which students may apply. Students are encouraged to visit the Counseling Center for additional information and guidance.
